According to the 2010 census, Flint is the seventh largest city in MI with a population of 102,434. Flint’s metropolitan area has a population of 425,790, making it the fourth largest metropolitan area in Michigan. Flint is popular for being the birthplace of General Motors. It’s also accredited for playing a part in the formation of the United Auto Workers during the Flint Sit-Down Strike of 1936–37.
