Campus kiosks come in various forms, but the basic structure is usually a framed poster or bus shelter sized display that is either free standing or incorporated into a newsrack or campus directory unit. Campus kiosks are placed in high traffic areas on college campuses leading to and surrounding student unions, rec centers, dorms, dining halls, academic buildings, libraries, retail stores, etc. Campus kiosks are the ideal medium for targeting students as they walk to various buildings to study, work and socialize. Subject to market availability. Campus kiosks are not available on every college campus, and when it is available, the advertising content is subject to university approval.
Digital networks are available at most college campuses
Digital college network advertising is available at most college across the country. The screens are typically located in the dining halls in high traffic and high visibility locations. The dwell time for this network is high as most students spend an average of 30 minutes in the campus dining halls. The digital campus network content between the advertisements is targeted towards college students to keep them interested in the program. The advertising spots are full motion and are typically 15 or 30 seconds in length.
Student information centers used in marketing on campus
Student Information Centers consist of newspaper stands, bulletin boards, and multi media centers that provide students with general information. These centers are located among the highest-traffic campus locations enabling advertisers to reach the student demographic in a unique way. Advertising in these common areas catch the students’ attention when they are actively seeking information. Repeat traffic through such areas increases impressions and recall of the advertising messages amongst your target audience. Multi-media centers feature computer terminals with on campus networks providing you the opportunity to create links to ads. Plasma screen ads and large backlit displays are additional options to display your ad.
