Milk Carton Ads
Milk carton ads are a unique direct to consumer medium that is found out-of-home but when purchased becomes an in-home advertising medium. Milk carton advertising is most commonly used for milk related products or for nutrition/health related messages. And, an advertiser should be aware that all retail and brand messages are encouraged to promote milk consumption and should be child or family oriented. There are two distinct types of milk carton advertising programs – in-school and retail.
Milk carton ads, in-schools and grocery stores
In-school milk carton ad programs utilize half-pint paper cartons and are placed in K-12 schools. The retail milk carton ad program utilizes half-gallon and gallon paper and plastic containers, and they are placed in grocery stores, in convenience stores, and in other retail stores. Milk carton ads provide ad space for only one advertiser per carton, and this one ad is placed on a single side of the milk carton container. Peel off coupons can be incorporated into the milk carton ad, and URLs and phone numbers are frequently used to aid in campaign tracking. Subject to market availability. Not available in every school or in every grocery or retail store.
