About Atlanta
Established in 1837, Atlanta is the capital and the most populous city in the state of Georgia, with an estimated total population of 432,427 in 2011. It is the center of the city’s metropolitan area and the ninth largest in the U.S. Since 1998, the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport has been the world’s busiest airport.
