Q: What does Matrix Media Services do?
A: Matrix Media Services is a media-buying agency that specializes in researching, negotiating, and buying OOH media and radio advertising for both agencies and advertisers. We have Account Executives to handle your questions and requests personally and in a timely manner; a production department to ensure your creative is printed correctly and shipped on time; and a media department to research, plan, negotiate, and monitor your campaign.
Q: What are the benefits of using Matrix Media Services?

We have developed a time-tested approach to completing even the largest requests in a timely manner. We save you money because we do nothing but buy outdoor and radio all day every day, and we can pass those volume savings along to our clients. Not to mention we have some pretty hardcore negotiators on our team! Lastly, when using Matrix Media Services for your next campaign, you can be assured that media buying experts are on your side, working as advocates for YOU. We don’t represent any one media vendor or media type so we always recommend what is in YOUR best interest.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Our proposals are completely FREE! Want to see how much it costs to purchase that highway billboard on your way to work? Or how about the price for a 25 GRP showing of gas pump toppers in the Minneapolis DMA? We’ll provide you with pricing, availability, daily effective circulation or DEC’s, impressions, quantities, as well as market and media details (in short – everything you would need to know to make an informed decision)… free of charge! If you choose to have us buy the media for you, the price you pay is the price you were quoted – there are no additional fees for our services as we negotiate our compensation with the vendors directly. Did we mention RFP‘s (request for proposal) are free?! (And can be done entirely online if you prefer.)
Q: You said gas pump toppers – but I thought you just did billboards and radio spots?
A: OOH (Out-of-Home) Media consists of a multitude of media options, including (but not limited to) billboards, transit, malls, cinema, grocery stores, health clubs, parking stripes, street teams, college campuses, sidewalk chalk, projection advertising…. And many, many more. Please visit our website for a near-complete list of the media we handle. But more media emerges all the time, so always please feel free to call your Account Representative for additional information on media not listed on our website.
Q: I want to advertise, but I’m not sure what media is right for my campaign. Can you help me?
A: Our Account Executives are always happy to make recommendations based on your budget parameters, target audience, and campaign goals. We work as advocates for you, so you can be assured our suggestions are made with only your best interests in mind.
Q: We’re an advertising agency and have media buyers of our own – why would we need Matrix?
A: In this economy, media departments are being downsized and overloaded – but we’ve actually added media buyers to our team. You can focus your energy on the overall media plan and buying of print, television, and internet while we take care of the time-consuming and labor-intensive OOH and radio for you, thus allowing you to meet your deadlines while still giving each campaign the attention and dedication it deserves. Do your clients have consistently short turn-around times? We can help! Do your clients demand thorough information in a uniform and easy-to-read format? We can help! Still not convinced? Then answer this – if you could pay the same cost (or lower) than you are paying now, but have someone else do all the legwork while still giving you the control to choose the locations, quantities, etc., would you do it? If the answer is yes, then give us a call.
Q: We don’t do large out-of-home media campaigns, can you still help us? We have a large national campaign, can you help us?
A: Our Managing General Partner, Mr. Charles McCrimmon likes to use this phrase when describing our abilities to clients: “We’re large enough to handle your business, but small enough to appreciate it.” In other words, we are happy to assist with large and small campaigns alike.
Q: I have a persistent itch in a strange place, what do I do?
A: Call a doctor – we don’t recommend you advertise this fact on a billboard.
